I disagree with your statement about Draco killing Dumbeldore would  cause 
his soul to split in two.  I was under the impression that some  sort of dark 
magic is required to create a horcrux, in which case, Snape  wouldn't have been 
concerned about Draco's soul splitting from killing  Dumbeldore.
