Rachel here:
I just want to suggest that IIRC the prophecy says /at/ the hand of 
the other...not necessarily /by/ the hand of the other.  One could 
take this to mean that Harry will be present at the death of Voldemort 
but not necessarily kill the Dark Lord himself.
