Significant?  I think  so. 


Tonks:
Did JKR say that the dead will not come back to life or just that 
when a person is dead they are really dead? Because there is a 
difference. I was under the impress that she said the latter. 

In order for a real resurrection we must have a real death. A fake 
death will not do. DD is really dead. I think we will see DD again 
at the very end of book 7. If not, Fawkes will come in his place, 
but I am going to predict DD's return.
