Lurbyblitz:

I agree with you. It would be quite dumb for DD to just up and leave 
teens to deal with everything themselves. But, what if he had his 
reasons to pretend to be dead? Why shouldn't he pretend to be dead 
so that Draco doesn't have to kill him, and so that he'll have time 
to look for the Horcruxes freely without fear of being attacked by 
death eaters or whatever? I'm rambling, but what do you guys think?
