No reason at all really. Like you I was married at age 31. For all he knows 
his true soul mate is attending the Salem Witches Institute even as we
speak and he won't meet her until the 2012 World Cup which as we know
will be held in a bowl magically hollowed out of the middle of Lake 
Michiagan. I don't think his creator will let him marry an American though.
