Another interesting tidbit of mythology is the name of the closed ward
Harry visits at St Mungo's: Janus Thickey.

The part that interests me is the use of the Roman god Janus. Janus is
a god depicted as 'two faced' (Snape anyone?) similar to
Quirrel/Voldemort in PS/SS. Snape serves to very different masters
well so he has to be two faced. Also, the month of January is named
after Janus - JKR says Snape's birth month is January.

Janus is the Roman god of gates and doors/beginnings and endings. I'm
curious if these are all just coincidences or if something ties Snape
to the closed ward at St Mungo's and someone there might have been
involved in Voldemort's beginning as well as his future end.
