Good question...maybe as you said, she didn't know if the rumors
were true, and figured the best way of finding out, would be to
watch LILY'S SISTER and her family to see if there were any
reactions to go by. Maybe she didn't put much trust in the rumors
of the wizarding world, and thought to get a better gauge of the
truth by watching the next of kin?
