I think that it is quite true that Dumbledore apparates silently. It is my
belief that the more powerful and gifted a wizard or witch is, the more
quietly that wizard or witch apparates. If I'm not mistaken, the sounds
associated with apparation range from very loud cracks to little pufty
sounds to silence.
