I agree whole heartedly!  But I think we see that Harry has indeed 
already absorped "bits" of LV. It comes up in CoS (Harry's a 
parseltongue), and in OotP (I think) at the end when DD is trying to 
explain to Harry how special he is:  that he's been "inside" LV mind 
and come out whole and fairly unscathed (and more examples which I 
can't remember right now).  We see that Harry still has trouble with 
the idea that he is in any way similar or connected to LV, and I 
think that's the point; he's still not been seduced by the dark side.
