Hmmm, I have read Arsene Lupan ( putting a here, since it seems closer
to how it was spelled in russian translation) stories long, long time
ago, so long that I may not even able to remember the gist of his
character straight. Wasn't he the noble thief who became private
investigator?

Um, does not seem to look like Remus to me at all. :) Although come to
think of it, maybe we will learn that Remus was not afraid to use some
rather dirty tricks in order to help Light side?

On the other hand, Lupan as far as I remember always drawed the line
and did not go further than the certain degree of dirtiness, in other
words I would not call him evil :) Dark creature maybe, but not evil.

But again, please keep in mind that I have a **very** vague
recollection of these stories. Maybe I am completely confused. I seem
to remember that at the time I read them, I liked them a lot. But
usually I remember the books I loved and rather vividly at that, so I
guess I have to rethink whether the stories are that good.
