It is higly probable that you are right. But I would love it to be
Snape. What it would do is shake Harry, badly. Sure it could still be
Snape obeing LV's orders, but he could very much have let it happen
and have Greyback take the blame. 

But how would Harry find out, unless he'd inherit DD's pensieve?
