Marianne:
I don't find it odd at all. If everyone was so sure that Sirius
would be the Secret Keeper for the Potters, why not make it as hard
as possible for the DEs to find him? It keeps some DEs busy
following a false trail and perhaps buys some time for the
beleaguered good guys to try to rally their forces.
