Interesting theory! Might also explain why Harry seemed to be hanging 
on after being bitten by the Basilisk.

It also seems to have been suggested that Snape & Lily may have been 
working on the potion together. There clearly seems to be some link 
between Lily and Snape. If this was the case, it is possible that 
Lily administered the potion to Harry whilst James was fighting off 
Voldedmort. Perhaps Lily's sacrifice then enhanced the power of the 
potion!!

Hagrid takes Harry to the headquarters of the Order (somewhere in 
Wales) where DD (and possibly Snape) figure out exactly what has 
happened to Harry. DD leaves early to ensure that all is in place at 
Privet Drive, followed some time later by Hagrid & Harry.

I guess my major problem remains that it does rather detract from 
Lily's sacrifice.
