If you go to one of the timelines at the Lexicon you can find 
birthdays. I'm not sure if it will tell you if the information came 
from JKR's calendar or not. It might be an interesting idea to see who 
isn't there. I've always been more concerned with who was there. I was 
very surprised that she wished Draco a happy birthday...although it 
makes more sense after the HBP.
