I would say that if Snape saw the blood, he knew Harry was healed. It
was dry blood, and it was not continuing to flow from his nose. (This
was not stated in the text, but follows from the fact that Tonks had
fixed it). Snape was being nasty by letting Harry walk into the Great
Hall looking a complete mess-not by allowing Harry continue to suffer
from any physical injury in silence.
