Keep reading.  The payoff is definitely worth it.  I was very 
skeptical and did not jump on the HP bandwagon until September, 
2005.  I'd seen the movies, but didn't get interested in the books 
until PoA (movie version).  I liked the darker tone and must say 
that JKR's writing has been not only impressive, but wonderfully 
entertaining.  I like how she keeps raising the stakes and doesn't 
keep repeating the same old drivel.  I can't wait for the final 
book.
