Or there's the idea that appeared in a Leaky Cauldron poll: give him
his own private island for potions research and spell research. I
imagine he'd need a lot of bookshelves and an owl so he could trade
his potions and other inventions for supplies and food.

But I personally prefer having him do a stint of community service for
St. Mungo's, after which he'd become a highly paid researcher and
Healer. Why not put all his many talents to good use?
