Oy. I think that Hermione's character is significantly less grey 
than your argument portrays, but if you think that by acting in 
secrecy and alone Hermione's action can be compared to what 
Voldemort does, then you would agree that Dumbledore's many actions 
can be compared to what Voldemort does too?

You know, all that "acting in secrecy and alone", often NOT sharing 
with other people why he does something, why he trusts people, etc? 
And PROCEEDING with the plans based on he knows best why.
