Alla:

Hehe, he does not even have to be insane, he just have to **not**
come to Dumbledore for whatever reasons, you know?

Regulus may have gotten a wake up call about Voldemort, but who says
that it means that he automatically felt love and respect for
Dumbledore?

Maybe he just escaped on his own, maybe he felt it was too dangerous
to involve anybody else, including DD?

Speculating here of course, but I do agree with Dung, that DD would
not have gone after fake Horcrux, if Regulus came to him, so I
speculate that if Regulus alive, DD did not know.

Alla:

Yes, that is precisely my line of thought. You see, if she would
have just said - he is dead, that would have been end of story to
me, since I do believe the interviews. But while I am convinced that
she does not lie in interviews, she sure is being evasive about plot
points, so why add **these days**, why?

JMO,

Alla.
