Okay, this is sheer speculation, but what the heck, that's what
makes it fun. <g> Personally, I think Snape was/is farmer-skinny.
You know, looks like he'll blow away in a stiff breeze but able to
lift a tractor with one hand. Plus, I'm betting he's insanely
scrappy. I think if you wanted to put him down you'd have to put
him down *hard* or he'd just pop back up, fists blazing.

Part of that is because I think he comes from a really tough
neighborhood (based on Spinner's End). And especially as a wizard
he'd have stood out as a bit of an oddball, so I think he'd have
figured out how to handle himself in a fight. And I'm betting he'd
have learned how to fight dirty.

Whereas rich and coddled James probably only tussled with friends.
And while James was in athletic shape, especially as a pure-blood,
I'm not sure he'd really know how to handle himself in an all out,
non-magical brawl.

So yeah, in a bare-knuckles fight, my money's on the half-blood. <g>

Snape <bg>)
