And so what if he was?  Sure there would be some 
who suspected him, especially those who distrusted 
him already like Moody and Sirius, but what could 
they prove? And what would it matter to DE!Snape if 
some in the Order suspected him of being a traitor, 
if he had managed to see Voldemort victorius and the 
Chosen One dead?  Snape had it in his power to make 
that happen.
