   I have been seeing some great answers but I am thinking that I was 
not clear in my interest in the dusty bottle.  We are treated to a 
specific comparison in these two scenes. In one, Snape sends PP to *his* 
wine cellar for a bottle of wine. It is described as dusty.  In the next 
scene, DD, in a house *not his own*, conjures a bottle of mead which is 
also described as dusty. Surely, not every bottle in Britain is dusty! I 
am wondering if this is a clue that this is not actually Snape's true 
residence but rather an address used only when stuck with Peter or 
contacting other DE. I can see no other reason for her description of 
the darn dusty bottles.
