I have been seeing some great answers but I am thinking that I was
not clear in my interest in the dusty bottle. We are treated to a
specific comparison in these two scenes. In one, Snape sends PP to *his*
wine cellar for a bottle of wine. It is described as dusty. In the next
scene, DD, in a house *not his own*, conjures a bottle of mead which is
also described as dusty. Surely, not every bottle in Britain is dusty! I
am wondering if this is a clue that this is not actually Snape's true
residence but rather an address used only when stuck with Peter or
contacting other DE. I can see no other reason for her description of
the darn dusty bottles.
