Potioncat:
Snape reported it shortly after it happened. He told Bella and Cissy 
that DD had been injured because his reflexes were slowed...which I 
think he attributed to being weakened at the MoM battle. I thought DD 
wanted LV to think that he was weaker than he actually was.

He may have wanted LV to worry about his finding the horcruxes in the 
hopes LV would accidentally reveal one or two. (That just came to my 
mind and I haven't worked it out.)
