Geoff:
I don't see from where you get that impression. The /opening/ 
sentence of my reply is meant to be a firm underpinning of your view.

Geoff:
I agree again. As I said earlier, my reading of his interaction with 
Molly suggests that he tends to back off things too easily if someone 
disagrees firmly with him.
