When Harry nearly kills Draco, Snape saves him and it is the intimate
manner of his doing so that I find interesting. Singing. Not a potion
but something from and of himself. And it is the cure for his own
damaging spell. It is this act that the sorrowful song of the phoenix

I've never considered that as an option, it is interesting, and
singing is how Fawkes healed so why not Snape as well. In Celtic and
other mythologies "chants" are used to dregged up power and 'stop'
death. Although, one must consider why Snape created the "Sectumsempra"
spell to begin with..."use on enemies" the note said so who was the
spell meant for?
