I just wanted to note, the prophecy stated to Harry in POA did not come  true 
exactly at given.  Trelwaney (sp?)recited that "innocent blood  will be 
spilled" (from memory without canon at hand), but thanks to H and H  and the 
timeturner no innocent blood was spilled.  Both Buckbeak and Sirius  were rescued. 
So a prophecy can be thwarted.
