And wizarding folk do still swear by Merlin.

I wonder if there's a hint there that Hogwarts isn't located in the 
Highlands, but somewhere in South Western Scotland, near one of Merlin's old 
haunts.

Any railway buffs out there who could say if there's a disused line going 
through anywhere suitable as a route for the Hogwarts Express?
