Do wizards have insurance?  Quite apart from that, all the money James
inherited had sat untouched in the Grigotts vault for 11 years, acquiring
interest...  Quite enough for a teenager with no real possessions.  However,
I wonder where the Potter family home is, and whether it was sold (more gold
for the vault) or is sitting there waiting for Harry (and the Trio?) to
take ownership of it...  Maybe he will be handed the deeds on reaching his
17th birthday?
