Geoff:
For information, Richard III was involved in the Wars of the Roses which were 
between the houses of Lancaster and York both of which were in the North.

My mother came from Lancashire, where I grew up; my father was a 
Yorkshireman so I'm a genuine Tudor with very firm Northern roots.
