You would think so, wouldn't you? And yet, Pettigrew had been tortured 
routinely during GOF and always bustled about doing his chores as soon 
as the curse was lifted. Cedric evinced the mildest of surprises when 
Harry relieved him of the curse and resumed his chase without further 
ado. He even bested Harry at it.
