Anyone wondering why Harry didn't show the Half Blood Prince book to Lupin?

Lupin might have been able to tell him who wrote it. Just putting a

Hi, Corey!  The first thing that came to my mind was that Harry had 
left his books, even his Potions book, at school for the holidays.

But, reading back, he asked Lupin as an afterthought to another 
conversation.  When Harry goes to bed, he checks the published date as 
Lupin suggested, finds that it was before the Marauder era, and, 
disappointed, throws the book back in his trunk.  No connection to his 
father, Sirius, or Remus.  (HBP US Hardcover, pgs 335-337)
