I am not sure how I owuld be able to read the last book to my 7 year
old. She is a BIG fan, and it would be a crushing blow for her and, of
course, for me too.

I can only speak for myself, but personally I would not read Harry
Potter 4-5-6 to a 7-year old...
One, because a 7-year-old probably wouldn't understand the essense of
those books, and second because they're simply too scary for a 7-year
old to deal with.
So - I can't see how Rowling would have that agegroup in mind as she's
writing the final book now that she's already set the *scare-standard*
in at least the 3 previous books, and I can't see that standard reduced
in the last one.
