In the F.A.Q. at JKR's website there is a question similar to this
about following owls to find Sirius.  IMO I don't think that Harry
will have a hard time finding LV when he needs to.  They are linked
through the scar, and blood.  Harry has been sensing LV since he
entered Hogwarts and looked at Snape (who was sitting next to
Quirrell).  (PS ch7 The Sorting Hat)
