So there is one seventh of LV's soul in the diary Horcrux. Yes he did 
put some of his soul into Ginny, but the implication is that he took 
most of it back as he tried to reform (and was trying to use Ginny's 
soul to assist him with this rebirth). Harry destroyed the Diary 
Horcrux which also then destroyed Tom Riddle. It seems logical to me, 
that the destruction of the diary Horcrux completely destroyed that 
piece of soul - whether it resided in Tom Riddle or Ginny.
