We had some fun thinking up ways this might be true, back after HBP
came out. However, in her recent appearance in New York Rowling seems

Yup, a popular theory as well. Or, perhaps, Dumbledore knew he was
dying of the green potion and asked Snape to kill him, not as part of
a plan, but the same reasoning would hold.

That's what I think too. Do you think anyone knows about Snape? I
kind of like the theory that Dumbledore's death was not planned in
advance, that I mentioned above. Because I think that would make it
the hardest for things to get straightened out in Book 7 (and thus,
the most exciting/suspenseful to read about.<grin>)
