Just to check, in my version of HBP (Bloomsbury First edition - pg 
445), the words used by Harry are:

"Yeah, I s'pose I'd better," said Harry. "I don't reckon I'll need all 
of it, not twelve hours' worth, it can't take all night ... I'll just 
take a mouthful. Two or three hours should do it."


Based on this, there is no discrepancy with what Slughorn had first 
provided.

Just wondering if this is different from other Versions 
(Scholastic?... other versions)
