Well, I actually have a theory about the 'purpose' of the WOMBAT'S.
I think that Jo is telling us that it is Okay to extrapolate... it
is okay to take givens from the canon and *apply* them. 2 + 2
*still* equals four even though Jo never mentions that fact in canon.
This may just be springing from a personal bias of mine... but I
have seen many fruitful, original ideas shut down by someone
saying "That is not supported by canon." Even if the idea seems to
clearly fit within the paramaters of the Harry Potter world...
Hmmm. I can not think of a good example right now. Perhaps some of
you know what I mean, and some of you agree?
But I was very much left with the feeling of 'Loosen up, have fun,
think, let your imagination run wild, don't stagnate" after taking
WOMBAT 2 (my first, so I can't speak to WOMBAT 1)
