With 7 kids, 'a very tight ship' is a requirement. Much of what I've
read in this thread is pretty consistent with every large family I've
known. It doesn't reflect badly on Molly, to me. She's just being
practical.
As for Arthur's fascination with electricity: I find it pretty
fascinating too. It's almost magical in it's properties: defies
gravity (in non-black hole situations anyway), works at the speed of
light, works invisibly, etc, etc, etc.
