I love Carol's ideas for his work. But I think "after" he gets out of 
Azkaban he'll open his own shop. As much as I like the idea, I can't 
the logic of a successful Potions wizard applying for a DADA teaching 
positon and giving up his business.

I would also like to think he was an intern at St. Mungo's. It makes 
the most sense to me--even if Snape is no Dr. Kildare.
