Hey,

  Don't House Elves have to pick up clothes off the floor?  Who
thinks hundreds of teenagers nicely fold their clothes and put them
away? And who is doing all the laundry at Hogwarts?  I assume it is
the Hogwarts elves which made me think their master must be the one
to give them clothes in order to be free.  I think Hermione making
clothes is insulting them but not endangering them.
