And I guess the best thing Snape ever did was to reveal the prophecy
to Voldemort, since that act resulted in Voldemort becoming Vapormort,
the first war (which the good side *was* losing) coming to an end, and
countless lives being saved. That is, by your logic that the ends justify
the means and intent means nothing.
