    Crouch Jr. only needed a year to do his job for Voldemort. In any
case, he wasn't hired for the job, Moody was. When anyone talks about
the DADA curse, it's Moody's academic year in a trunk that's given as
an example of the curse. No one ever talks about Crouch getting his
soul sucked out as related to the curse. They think the curse is on
being hired for the post, not on occupying it.
