Than why didn't the Death Eaters attack Privet Drive as soon as
Voldemort returned? Judging by his graveyard speech, Voldemort knew
very well, where Harry lived. If the protection only saves him from
Big He could have sent his minions to kill the Dursleys and capture
Harry, but he didn't. The protection has to work against Voldie's
minions as well, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. Just like Lily's
sacrifice also protected Harry from Quirrell in the Chamber of the
stone. (And yes, I know that at this time Quirrell was possesed by
Voldie, but still).
