Look at Ron, look at Hermione who were raised in the normal , 
**loved** homes. I think they turned out to be very much 
Okay "people". Harry turned out much better than he could have, but he 
is still damaged and JKR said he is.

Alla, who had plenty of hardships in her life, but who would not ever 
want to grew up being unwanted and unloved. :(
