I'm sorry, if I didn't express myself clearly.

What I wanted to say is, that somewhere during his chapter-long 
monologue at the graveyard, Voldemort told his Death Eaters, that he 
searched for a possibility how to get Harry. And he mentions, that he 
wasn't able to get him at the Dursleys, since Dumbledore put a 
protection on the house (as we learn in book 5, thanks to Lily's 
sacrifice), that made it impossible for Voldie to attack Harry there. 
Therefore we knew the blood projection spell over Privet Drive was 
successfull, since because of it Voldemort didn't even try to attack 
Harry there. That's why your argument, that we never see the 
protection at work in the Privet Drive chapters didn't convince me. 
The very fact, that nothing happened there, is IMO a proof that the 
protection worked. And the only time Harry's life was endangered in 
Little Whinging, it was when someone who is completely uncoonected to 
Voldemort wanted to harm him.
