Potioncat:
Yeah, that's right. But why did JKR tell us so many times that ghosts
are transparent? And why did Snape ask the difference between ghosts
and Inferi? They don't seem anything alike.

So it highlights the fact that there's been a shift in the

Potioncat:
That's a good point. Many of us were interested in how a DADA class
between Harry and Snape would play out. Do you mean, that even though
Harry is good at DADA, Snape is still able to challenge him? That is,
make the course challenging?

Maybe it's the same in all
classes, only we haven't had a reason to see that. This was a topic
in the news, and the students will possibly be wondering about it.

The only other time I can remember a student asking a question about
something not related to class was in Binns's class when Hermione
asked about the Chamber of Secrets. (I do have that right, don't I?
It was Hermione and Binns?) I'm still a little surprised that Seamus
was comfortable enough with Snape to ask.

Ceridwen:
Interesting that the previous lesson was on resisting the Imperius.
Aren't Inferi animated to do a wizard's will, much like Imperius
forces the living to do another's bidding?

Potioncat:
Good point. It even sounds alike. Imperius/Inferius. So, why didn't
Snape highlight the differences between controlling a live wizard and
a dead one?

And I agree with whoever said it---seeing a Inferius!DD would be
devastating.
