Miles:
Well, you are not surprised that an owl can understand spoken language and
think they should be able to read, but you are surprised that it can find
people without an address? Why so?

Those owls are magical creatures. Thestrals can find any place, owls
(almost) every person. That's what JKR made owls like - and so they are in
Potterverse.

We can talk about inconsistencies concerning travel speed and such, but the
ability to find people is a "fact" like the healing powers of Phoenix'
tears.

Miles (curious if he has slipped back into probation status after not
writing for some time)
