Hermione doing magic

Ok so is it just me or does she seem to get away with doing magic
outside of school? She fixed Harry's glasses on the train in the first
book and in the middle of Diagon Alley in the second book (I'm sure
there are more examples but as I am reading through the books again
and am only on book 3, I don't have anymore right now LOL)

Did anyone else notice this or is it just me? And didn't she also
mention practicing magic once she got her letter and then books in the
first book?

 please just bear with me as I go through the books again. I'm
noticing a lot of little things I missed all the other times I've read
the books :-)
