For a fact?  I don't remember reading this in DH's.  Is this something
that JKR said in her interview?  I read all of the questions/answers
that were posted in livejournal, but I don't remember seeing that she
verified that Snape did do an actual AK.

This was one of the hot topics after HBP - did Snape actually perform
the AK, or was it something else - a non-verbal spell and the AK
didn't work, because he didn't *mean* it.

I am very interested to see canon on this one.
