Dobby took all the things that  Hermione knitted (he showed up one time 
with dozens hats on his head), the  other house elves refused to clean 
Gryffindor common room because of it.  No Hogwarts' house elves were 
freed.

Additionally, Hermione's actions were moot, anyway.  Technically, she  was 
not the mistress of the house elves of Hogwarts - that would have been the  
Headmaster.  Therefore, she could not free them - she just insulted them by  
trying.
